Abstract:
This article discusses the significance and application of parallel corpora in foreign language didactics. Parallel corpora, which contain translated texts in two or more languages, play an essential role in language teaching, aiding in the comparison of grammatical, semantic, and stylistic differences, as well as in determining the translation of phraseological units. The article reviews studies conducted based on parallel corpora of English and Russian languages and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of their use in the educational process. Corpus linguistics facilitates the creation of new methods that enhance the effectiveness of the language learning process.
