PERLOCUTIONARY INFLUENCE IN DIPLOMATIC COMMUNICATION: A COGNITIVE-PRAGMATIC ANALYSIS
Main Article Content
Аннотация:
The nature of perlocutionary communication is of particular interest within the pragmalinguistic paradigm with regard to this dissertation, and its importance as a pillar of diplomatic discourse. This research intends to explore in what linguistic and cognitive logics perlocutionary influence is produced, transmitted and processed. Building off the theoretical frameworks of speech act theory, psycholinguistic and discourse analytic concepts, this research explores how speakers produce communicative goals through their speeches in Uzbek and English diplomatic works. These empirical findings indicate that perlocutionary actions are governed by many linguistic, cognitive and socio-cultural variables that are necessary for accurate communication.
