Abstract

The article is dedicated to researching the role of independent work in the formation of soft skills in first-year students. Key soft skills such as self-organization, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork are examined, and various types of independent assignments contribute to their development. Special attention is paid to the adaptation of first-year students to the university environment and the importance of soft skills for their future professional activities. Based on the analysis of literature and modern educational practices, recommendations are offered for designing tasks that contribute to the development of soft skills. The article emphasizes the importance of integrating soft skills into the educational process through independent work as an effective tool for training competitive specialists.
