Abstract

This article explores the linguopragmatic characteristics of anthroponyms using texts from contemporary Uzbek literature. Anthroponyms, beyond their nominal function, carry expressive and cultural meanings in literary contexts. The study demonstrates how names used by author Erkin A’zam serve communicative and stylistic functions, reflecting characters’ social identities, emotional nuances, and authorial intentions. The research highlights the necessity of contextual and pragmatic approaches in analyzing literary onomastics.
