Abstract

In this study, the functions of urbanonyms in the urban linguocultural space were studied. The functions of urbanonyms were determined based on materials related to the city of Karshi. It was proved that the process of creating urbanonyms is conditioned by a number of factors of a linguistic and extralinguistic nature.
