FAVORITE CHARACTERS IN THE WORKS OF GAFUR GULOM (BASED ON THE ANALYSIS OF LITERARY SCHOLAR SALOHIDDIN MAMAJONOV’S BOOK “THE POET AND MODERNITY”)

Abstract

This article discusses selected chapters of Salohiddin Mamajonov’s book “Poet and Modernity”, as well as the genre features of G‘afur G‘ulom’s poetry, especially the poem genre, imagery-related characteristics, and his poems “Time” and “Alisher”. In addition, it analyzes the issue of historicity and its artistic expression. The study highlights the comparison of historical reality with contemporary life in the poet’s works, the interconnection between the past and the present, and the role of historical facts in revealing artistic ideas.
