Abstract

Uzbekistan has made significant progress in attracting foreign investment to support the development of its economy in recent years. Foreign investment has played a crucial role in driving economic growth, creating job opportunities, and improving the standard of living for many Uzbek citizens. However, attracting foreign investment also presents challenges and potential negative impacts, such as cultural homogenization, dependence on foreign capital, environmental degradation, and exploitative labor practices. This paper explores the role of foreign investment in the sustainable development of the Uzbek economy, and identifies strategies for ensuring that foreign investment contributes to the long-term economic and social well-being of the country.
