Abstract

Traditional risk factors are not sufficient to explain the increasing rates of arterial hypertension, and attempts to control the problem show that traditional measures may not yet be sufficient or decisive[1,6]. The modern literature puts forward theories that substantiate the influence of the pathogenetics of inflammatory mechanisms on the development of hypertension. There is much experimental and clinical evidence that arterial hypertension is associated with inflammation and activation of immune cells, which are two main processes caused by oxidative stress[3].
