The article discusses the main approaches and methodological aspects of organizing independent work of students in the conditions of a credit-module education system in the discipline "Human Anatomy and Physiology". The importance of independent work as a key element of the educational process aimed at developing professional competencies, independence and responsibility of students is revealed. Recommendations for planning and implementing independent work are provided, as well as examples of effective tasks and control methods.
