Ushbu maqolada zamonaviy pedagogik rivojlanish jarayonida elektron portfoliolarning o‘rni, ularning o‘quvchilarning sifatli bilim olishlarida ijodiy ishlarini electron portfoliolarida yoritish uchun ishlatishlarida va o‘qituvchilar malakasini oshirishdagi ahamiyati hamda ilmiy tadqiqotlarda qo‘llanilishiga oid asosiy nazariy va amaliy jihatlar ko‘rib chiqiladi. Shuningdek, soha olimlarining fikrlari asosida elektron portfoliolar orqali reflektiv o‘rganish, metakognitiv ko‘nikmalarni shakllantirish va sifat monitoringini olib borish imkoniyatlari yoritiladi.
