Phonetics plays a fundamental role in the development of English language skills, especially at the elementary level. Correct pronunciation not only improves communication but also supports reading, listening, and vocabulary acquisition. This article examines the importance of phonetic instruction for young learners and explores effective teaching methods, including the phonics approach, imitation and repetition, the use of songs and rhymes, minimal pair drills, and multimedia tools. By combining traditional techniques with modern technology, teachers can create an engaging and productive learning environment. Ultimately, this study concludes that systematic phonetic instruction is essential for building a strong foundation in English proficiency.
