Abstract

Effective communication is paramount in the medical field, where accurate information exchange significantly impacts patient outcomes. Non-native English-speaking medical students must learn English as a second language to ensure effective communication with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals. This article explores the importance of teaching English to medical students and provides insights into effective strategies and resources that enhance their English language proficiency in healthcare settings. The focus is on developing language skills in medical terminology, patient history-taking, and delivering patient-centered care. Equipping medical students with strong English language skills empowers them to provide high-quality healthcare services to diverse patient populations.
