Pronunciation poses a significant challenge for non-native English learners due to the complexity of the language’s phonetic system. This paper explores common pronunciation difficulties encountered by English learners, such as the inconsistent relationship between spelling and pronunciation, unfamiliar sounds, and stress patterns. The study highlights these challenges for learners from different linguistic backgrounds, identifies the reasons behind these difficulties, and suggests strategies for improving pronunciation skills. The research emphasizes the importance of phonetic training and awareness in overcoming these challenges and enhancing language fluency.
