Abstrak

Language teaching and learning have become increasingly important in the modern world, where multilingualism is both a social reality and an educational necessity. To meet this demand, teachers and researchers are constantly searching for effective methods that can improve language acquisition. Comparative linguistics, traditionally concerned with the study of similarities and differences among languages, offers valuable insights that can be applied directly to pedagogy. By tracing structural correspondences, identifying contrasts, and reconstructing patterns, comparative linguistics helps explain why learners struggle with certain aspects of a target language and how instruction can address these challenges.
