Abstract

This article discusses the role of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in developing students' fluency in English. It explains how CLT emphasizes real-life communication, learner interaction, and fluency over strict grammatical accuracy. The paper highlights the benefits of using interactive methods such as group discussions, role-plays, and guided speaking activities, which help learners gain confidence and improve their speaking skills. It also explores how communicative tasks enhance motivation and support the development of natural, spontaneous language use. The article concludes that CLT is a highly effective approach for building fluency in modern English language classrooms.
