Abstract

This article explores the principles of Cognitive Metaphor Theory (CMT), developed by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson, and analyzes how conceptual metaphorical expressions structure human thought. Special attention is given to metaphorical expressions in French, offering a cross-cultural linguistic comparison.
