Abstract

This thesis explores the significance of nonverbal greetings in English communication, focusing on their pragmatic functions and cultural implications. Nonverbal communication, encompassing facial expressions, gestures, and physical proximity, plays a crucial role in initiating and maintaining interpersonal relationships. This research examines how nonverbal greetings convey meanings that transcend verbal language, influencing the dynamics of social interactions.
