Mazkur maqolada zamonaviy jurnalistikada obyektivlik masalasining dolzarbligi tahlil qilinadi. Jay Rosen va Thomas Hanitzschning jurnalistikada obyektivlik borasidagi qarama-qarshi yondashuvlari muhokama etilgan. Rosen jurnalistning shaffof bo`lishi va subyektivlik yondashuvini tan olishi kerakligini ilgari sursa, Hanitzsch esa faktlarga asoslangan, shaxsiy fikrlardan xoli obyektiv jurnalistikani himoya qiladi. Maqolada bugungi jurnalistlar ushbu ikki pozitsiya o`rtasida muvozanat topishi zarurligi ta`kidlanadi.
