PROBLEMS OF SYNONYMY IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Аннотация:

The study discusses the concept of synonymy in English. The importance of context in the categorization of synonymous terms is given special consideration. The research is mostly based on the variations in semantic and syntactic character to demonstrate how a certain situation necessitates the use of a related term. In this article, we look at several techniques and categories of synonyms, and we also discuss how synonymous terms might be used to replace one another in context.
