Abstract

This article is dedicated to studying important pedagogical approaches to developing the speech of mentally retarded students through work lessons. The article analyzes the role of labor lessons in enhancing students' speech potential, their psychological characteristics, and factors influencing speech development. Information is provided on existing problems in the speech development of intellectually disabled students and the methods, practical exercises, and interactive approaches used in this process. Opinions are expressed on the pedagogical foundations of work lessons and the role of the teacher, and specific recommendations are given for the development of students' speech skills. The article serves as a useful resource for teachers in applying effective methods and practices in speech development for intellectually disabled students through work lessons.
