This article analyzes the role and importance of the collaborative approach in developing English language speaking competencies of students studying at technical higher education institutions. It is scientifically and practically substantiated that the use of collaborative methods in the educational process is effective in involving students in active communication, mastering professional language units, and forming teamwork skills.
