This article discusses the concept of corporate social responsibility, its importance in investment projects, its directions, aspects of corporate social responsibility such as social sustainability, environmental and economic responsibility. In addition, the necessary legal framework for protecting the rights of local residents, its main principles, namely the principle of freedom, the principle of environmental sustainability and the principles of protecting cultural and historical heritage, as well as the socio-economic impact of investment projects on the lives of local residents, was analyzed.
