Rivojlangan jamiyatda yashayotgan odamlarda biologik ehtiyojlardan tashqari, boshqa ko'plab ehtiyoj va istaklar mavjud. Bu ehtiyojlardan biri turizmga bo'lgan ehtiyojdir. Turistik ehtiyoj va istaklarni qondirish turistik mahsulotlar va xizmatlar ishlab chiqarishni o'z ichiga oladi va bu, o'z navbatida, ishlab chiqarish faoliyati va turistik resurslarning rivojlanishiga ta'sir qiladi.
