Abstract

In recent years, Uzbekistan has focused on the humanitarian aspects of its migration policy. A unique mechanism has been developed, encompassing three key directions: preparing citizens before departure, protecting their rights abroad, and ensuring social reintegration upon return. Migration is seen as a crucial tool for economic development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Measures include training, employment support, and financial and social assistance for migrants and their families. Uzbekistan actively cooperates with international organizations and concludes bilateral agreements, advancing its migration policy infrastructure, including the involvement of the private sector. Special attention is given to protecting vulnerable groups, with a focus on gender issues and youth.
