Abstract

This article presents a review of contemporary literature on the treatment and prevention of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). The main pathogenetic mechanisms of the disease are discussed, along with both conventional and emerging pharmacological treatment strategies, and preventive measures aimed at reducing the risk of thrombotic complications. Special attention is given to the importance of individualized therapy and the potential of novel approaches involving immunotropic and biological agents.
