The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical and functional changes in the oral mucosa of the prosthetic bed in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus undergoing removable prosthetic treatment using attachment systems. The findings revealed that the degree of metabolic compensation significantly affects tissue adaptation to prosthetic appliances. In patients with stable glycemic control, epithelial restoration and reduced inflammation were observed within 3 to 6 months of treatment.
