"THE IMPORTANCE AND ADVANTAGES OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE (H₂O₂) IN HEMOSTASIS DURING SURGICAL PRACTICE"
Keywords:

This article explores the clinical significance and practical advantages of using hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) for bleeding control in surgical procedures. Hydrogen peroxide is recognized as an effective hemostatic and antiseptic agent, particularly in cases of minor capillary and parenchymal bleeding. When applied to a bleeding site, H₂O₂ interacts with blood to produce active oxygen and foam, which exerts a mechanical tamponade effect and facilitates vessel constriction. Additionally, it contributes to wound disinfection and reduces the risk of postoperative infections. The article discusses methods of application, optimal concentrations, and safety precautions when using hydrogen peroxide in surgical settings
