Abstract

This article discusses the need to teach Latin at a medical university. The Latin course has a purely professional purpose - to prepare a terminologically literate doctor. Memorizing words is one of the most important components of Latin classes. It is Latin vocabulary that will help in future work with medical terminology. In addition to medical terminology, classes also focus on Latin aphorisms, knowledge of which helps students not only recognize centuries-old wisdom, but also better remember Latin words.
