THE PROBLEM OF LATEX SENSITIZATION AMONG MEDICAL WORKERS

Abstract:

The study was devoted to studying modern views on the problem of sensitivity to latex among medical workers. Sensitization to latex can occur by aerogenic, contact, parenteral, alimentary routes; the risk group includes healthcare workers, food industry workers, catering establishments, utility workers, people with a history of atopy, those who have undergone numerous surgical operations, defects of the nervous system, patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system. It is recommended to improve the working conditions of health workers at risk by reducing all methods of contact with latex.
