Vertebrobasilar insufficiency (VBI) is a condition caused by decreased blood flow in the vertebrobasilar arterial system, which supplies critical areas of the brain, including the brainstem, cerebellum, and occipital lobes. VBI often presents with transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) and can progress to more serious complications such as stroke if not treated properly.
