Abstract:

Cardiotoxicity remains one of the leading problems in modern antitumor therapy and significantly limits the effectiveness of treatment for patients with acute leukemia. In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the role of endothelial dysfunction and genetic factors in shaping individual susceptibility to myocardial damage. Endothelin-1, encoded by the EDN1 gene, is a key regulator of vascular tone, microcirculation, and inflammatory processes, and the Lys197Asn (rs5370) functional polymorphism is considered a potential modifier of cardiovascular risk
