COVID-19: ORIGIN, SPREAD AND WAYS OF PROTECTION

Abstract:
This article briefly discusses the causes of the disease, the process of its spread around the world, and measures to prevent it. COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a new type of coronavirus, which was first identified in Wuhan at the end of 2019. Subsequently, the disease spread rapidly throughout the world and was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Information is provided about the transmission of the virus from person to person, mainly through airborne droplets, symptoms of the disease (fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.), as well as severe complications. In addition, effective methods of protection are highlighted - observing personal hygiene, wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and the importance of vaccination. This topic is of great importance in improving health culture, preventing infectious diseases, and strengthening public health.
