COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE LANGUAGE OF O' HENRY'S STORY "THE LAST LEAF" AND IT‘S UZBEK TRANSLATION

Abstract

In this article, it’s compared the original text of the famous writer O Henry's short story "The Last Leaf" and its Uzbek translation from a linguistic point of view. The translator M. Abdullayev made extensive use of the methodological possibilities of the Uzbek language during the translation process. In our article, we have shown the importance of the linguistic approach in how the translated text is presented to the reader without losing its influence by comparing the original and the translated version of the story.
