Abstract

This scientific article analyzes, from a scientific and pedagogical perspective, the stages and mechanisms for forming subject-related competencies in students based on the MRT (material–visual–symbolic) approach. The study explores the theoretical foundations of the MRT approach, its relationship with cognitive development, its application in the educational process, and its practical effectiveness based on scholarly sources. It also highlights the significance of the MRT model in the step-by-step formation of students’ knowledge and the mechanisms for integrating it with a competence-based approach.
