THE IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING COMPUTER SCIENCE TO FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

Abstract:
This article analyzes the importance of teaching computer science to future primary school teachers. Although programming-related topics do not currently occupy a large place in primary education curricula, this field is considered essential for the professional development of teachers and for meeting the demands of modern education. Due to the introduction of the subject "Informatics and Information Technologies" from the 1st grade of general secondary schools and the growing role of information technology in the modern education system, the future integration of computer and mobile games into education requires primary school teachers to learn the fundamentals of educational games designed for schoolchildren. The article discusses how basic programming knowledge contributes to the intellectual development and creative thinking of students, increases their interest in technological knowledge, and explores potential future changes in the field of education.
