English learners often struggle with pronunciation, which can hinder their ability to effectively communicate in the language. To overcome this challenge, educators have long used tongue twisters as a fun and effective tool in the process of teaching English phonetics. Tongue twisters are phrases or sentences that are challenging to articulate quickly and accurately due to combinations of similar sounds or difficult sound sequences. They are an excellent resource to help learners practice and refine their pronunciation skills. This article will discuss the role of tongue twisters in teaching English phonetics and explore why they are effective in language learning.
