The article thoroughly analyzes issues of ensuring the safety of participants in criminal proceedings. The author conducts a comparative legal analysis of international legal documents and the current laws and bylaws of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding the security of process participants. The author scientifically examines ways to improve safety measures for participants in criminal proceedings, noting that legislation does not provide for the safety of certain individuals involved in criminal proceedings. Proposals and recommendations aimed at improving legislation are developed.
