THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COLLABORATIVE WRITING IN EFL CLASSROOMS

Аннотация:
Collaborative writing has gained significant attention in EFL classrooms as an effective approach to developing students’ writing skills, fostering peer interaction, and improving language proficiency. This study examines the impact of collaborative writing on EFL learners’ writing performance, engagement, and attitudes toward writing. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, incorporating quantitative analysis of students’ writing improvements and qualitative insights from classroom observations and interviews. Findings suggest that collaborative writing enhances idea generation, grammatical accuracy, and overall text coherence while promoting active engagement and learner autonomy. The study contributes to the growing body of research on communicative language teaching by emphasizing the role of social interaction in language development.
