tuberkulyoz kasalligi (tuberkulyoz) dunyodagi eng keng tarqalgan yuqumli kasallikdir. So'nggi yillarda Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) ning ko'p dori-darmonlarga chidamli shtammlari paydo bo'lishi va immuniteti zaif odamlar sonining ko'payishi tufayli tuberkulyoz bilan kasallanish sezilarli darajada oshdi . Markaziy asab tizimi tuberkulyoziga tuberkulyoz meningiti (TM - eng keng tarqalgan ko'rinish), intrakranial tuberkulyomalar va umurtqa tuberkulyozli araxnoiditi kiradi. TM bilan og'rigan odamlarda holsizlik, bosh og'rig'i, isitma yoki shaxsiyat o'zgarishining dastlabki bosqichi bo'ladi, keyin ikki-uch hafta ichida uzoq davom etadigan bosh og'rig'i, insult, meningizm, qusish, ongda chalkashlik va o’choqli nevrologik o’zgarishlar kuzatiladi. Agar bu davrda davolanmasa, ruhiy o’zgarishlar holati stupor yoki komaga aylanadi. TMni davolashda kechikish o'limga yoki jiddiy nevrologik kasallikka olib keladi. Ushbu sharh tuberkulyoz meningiti bo'yicha tadqiqotlar so'nggi ishlanmalarni, asosan, ushbu kasallikdagi immun javoblari, patogenezi, diagnostikasi va davolashini o'z ichiga oladi.
