Main Article Content
Abstract:
Paremas representing the character of a woman are an ancient and rich layer of folklore, through which many concepts about the valuable place of a woman in society, personal and social characteristics were formed. By studying these stories, one can gain a deeper understanding of our nation's attitude towards women, its ancient ideas and stereotypes, as well as its own culture. Conducting research on this topic is also important for linguistics, folklore studies and cultural studies. In this article, the linguistic and cultural classification of female characters in the Uzbek and English languages is widely covered.
