The digitalization of education presents both challenges and opportunities for the development of research skills in future English teachers. This article explores the evolving needs and strategies for cultivating these skills within a digitally enhanced learning environment, focusing on the integration of digital tools, methodologies, and resources into teacher education programs. We argue that a multifaceted approach encompassing theoretical knowledge, practical application, and collaborative learning is crucial for equipping future teachers with the research competencies necessary to navigate the complexities of the 21st-century classroom.
