Abstract:
This article addresses the issue of developing speech competence in future primary school teachers through the example of Russian (native) language lessons, as one of the key areas in the system of lifelong education. The article describes the most effective methods and techniques for developing speech competencies in both future primary school teachers and schoolchildren. It emphasizes the importance of working on children’s oral and written speech, as well as on their speech etiquette. The author considers the use of innovative technologies and active teaching methods and techniques in the educational process to be one of the essential ways to develop language literacy and communicative competence.
