Abstract:
After conquering Iran, the Ilkhanids significantly modified the heritage of their ancestors, leading to the creation of complex geometric patterns. Extensive research has been conducted on the characteristics of decorative and applied arts during this period; however, the question arises as to how this development occurred despite the massacres and exile of artists. The aim of this study is to identify the most influential factors that contributed to the development of complex geometric patterns during the Ilkhanid era.
