THE STRUCTURE OF COMORBID PATHOLOGY AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH INDICATORS IN WOMEN WITH RECURRENT ABNORMAL UTERINE BLEEDING: RESULTS OF A RETROSPECTIVE CLINICAL AND STATISTICAL ANALYSIS
Main Article Content
Abstract:
Recurrent abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is frequently associated with somatic comorbidity and impaired reproductive function. Objective. To evaluate the structure of comorbid pathology and reproductive indicators in women with recurrent AUB. Materials and Methods. A retrospective cohort study included 448 women aged 18–49 years (232 with recurrence defined as ≥2 episodes within 12 months; 216 without recurrence), hospitalized between January 2022 and January 2026 in a specialized gynecological center. Results. Obesity (BMI ≥30 kg/m²) was observed in 53.4% and 54.6% of patients, respectively; no difference in mean BMI was found (30.3±7.1 vs 30.5±5.8 kg/m²). Endometrial hyperplasia was more frequent in the recurrent group (32.8% vs 20.4%; OR 1.90). A history of at least one pregnancy was associated with a reduced risk of recurrence (53.4% vs 87.0%; OR 0.17). Conclusion. Endometrial hyperplasia and reproductive history characteristics are independent predictors of recurrent AUB.
