The field of Information Technology (IT) is a rapidly evolving sector that significantly influences global economic dynamics. Despite its expansive growth and opportunities, gender disparity remains a prominent issue, with women markedly underrepresented. This article examines the current status of women in IT, explores the challenges they face, and discusses the potential benefits of increased female participation in this field. Through an analysis of statistical data, it highlights the low percentage of women in tech roles globally and specifically within Uzbekistan. It argues that integrating more women into IT not only promotes gender equality but also enhances creativity, innovation, and overall organizational performance. The paper further discusses initiatives and strategies to encourage women's participation, including educational programs, mentoring, and policy reforms aimed at creating an inclusive environment. Ultimately, this article underscores the importance of diversity in driving the IT industry forward and suggests that empowering women in this sector is critical for sustainable economic development and technological advancement.
