THE ROLE OF LESSON PLANNING TO IMPROVE FUTURE TEACHER’S PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE

Abstrak:

This article is devoted to determining the categories of professional knowledge that pre-service English teachers use while creating a lesson plan. The qualitative research approach was used in this study. The findings imply that when participants construct a lesson plan; they use a variety of professional expertise. These include subject knowledge, general pedagogical knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, curricular knowledge, learned knowledge, and educational context knowledge
