PART-OF-SPEECH TAGGING AND ITS IMPLICATIONS

Main Article Content

Аннотация:

Part-of-Speech (POS) tagging, the process of assigning grammatical categories to words in a sentence, is a fundamental task in both theoretical linguistics and natural language processing (NLP). This study examines the theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and practical implications of POS tagging. Using examples from English and Uzbek, it highlights how POS tagging facilitates sentence structure analysis, supports computational processing, and enhances multilingual communication. The findings underscore its relevance in language teaching, machine translation, and NLP applications.
