ENHANCING ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS THROUGH COOPERATIVE LEARNING

Abstrak:
This study explores the role of cooperative learning in enhancing English speaking skills among students learning English as a foreign language (EFL). Cooperative learning emphasizes collaboration, peer interaction, and active participation, which create a supportive environment for practicing speaking. The research investigates different cooperative learning strategies, such as pair work, group discussions, and role-plays, and examines their effectiveness in improving learners’ fluency, accuracy, and confidence in English communication. The findings suggest that cooperative learning not only boosts speaking proficiency but also promotes motivation, critical thinking, and social skills among EFL learners.
