Insider threats pose a significant challenge to organizational cybersecurity, often stemming from employees or contractors who have legitimate access to sensitive information. Unlike external threats, insider attacks can be particularly difficult to detect and mitigate due to the trusted status of the individuals involved. This article explores the various strategies organizations can implement to combat insider threats, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive approach that includes technological solutions, robust policies, and a strong organizational culture. By leveraging advanced monitoring tools, fostering a culture of security awareness, and implementing effective access controls, organizations can reduce the risks associated with insider threats and enhance their overall cybersecurity posture.
