Abstract:
The article examines key female images in 20th-century Russian literature, focusing on their artistic features and moral significance. It analyzes female characters in the poetry of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva, as well as in the prose of M. Bulgakov, and B. Pasternak. The study highlights common traits of these images – strength of character, spiritual resilience, self-sacrifice – and the artistic methods used to portray women’s fates. It concludes that the image of woman in this period’s literature embodies high moral values while also reflecting new aesthetic approaches and the evolving role of women in society
